Abstract
This article deals with the philosophical history of concepts from Gadamer's hermeneutic perspective. " History of concepts " was a science to assist research in the history of philosophy, in which the development of a term in the texts of philosophers from ancient times was followed. Gadamer tried to categorize the philosophical significance of the history of concepts and raised the question of how one can have a history of concepts that represents philosophizing as such? For this purpose, Gadamer introduces a kind of history of concepts that is different from the conventional history of concepts and is of philosophical significance. This philosophical history of concepts arises from Gadamer's hermeneutic perspective on language. In this article, to outline the history of Gadamer's philosophical concept, we have compared it with the conventional history of concepts, especially Eisler's history of concepts, and then, extracted and enumerated the categories of the Gadamer's philosophical history of concept. Given the distance between words and concepts, in order to understand a philosopher's texts, one must pay attention to the process of word-finding and. According to Gadamer, language is not always available but rather that the philosopher must find the appropriate language to express the concept. Finding language is the result of the philosopher's effort to find his way in the world. Gadamer considers language acquisition to ultimately be the result of transferring the meaning of words from living language to the constructed language of concepts, which is the metaphorical use of language.
