Feeling and Imagination are very important in the thought of Descartes. Descartes categorizes or classified feeling and imagination as state of consciousness under the modes of the thinking thing, without having any relation to external objects. Then, in Sixth Meditation, he Seeks help from these two forces for proving of Physical character (or Man-e jesmani) and presented them as a forces that realize they need physical and corporeal activity. Therefore, they are two forces that are not purely subjective (mental) or purely physical, but we can have them in the unity of mind and body and as a human beings composed from mind and body. Indeed, in discussing of feelings and imagination, Descartes tries to prove material or corporality in general and human bodies specially and he wants to explain how mind and body interact with different substances too. But it seems that his talk about these two forces or power is not compatible with his famous mind-body dualism system. In study and review of works of Some of the commentators Descarte's thoughts like Gary Hatfield, Bernard Williams, Margaret Dauler Wilson and Catherine Wilson, we Found that They more or less have discussed about feelings and imagination in the philosophical system of Descartes. But despite the importance of the issue in the thought of Descartes, they have passed from it briefly. Among these, John Katyngm, of the three-volume English translation of Descartes works and the owner of numerous works on Descartes thought system, more than any other commentators, is noted to feeling and imagination In the philosophy of Descartes And he Has noted different views and voted than other Descartes experts. In this article we try to show the place of feelings and imagination in the philosophy of Descartes and linking this issue with Descartes Dualism, according to the works of Descartes And referring to the vote of some commentators his works and somehow it will be shown Highlights of votes Katyngm than Other analysts or commentators.

Among the perceptual faculties of soul, common sense has a special place. Without giving a clear picture of it, Aristotle attributes functions such as perception of common sense impressions and sense impressions by accident and recognition of aspects of distinction between objects and comprehension of feeling to this faculty. Whereas Aristotle has clearly rejected common sense alongside the five senses, Ibn Sina and his followers regard it as one of the internal senses and attribute some of soul`s functions to it. Islamic philosophers, notably Ibn Sina, by removing certain ambiguities , putting forward reasons for proving it, and by enumerating other functions for it have reinforced Aristotle`s theory. It seems that common sense at most can be regarded as a vehicle for accepting and perceiving the sense impressions or the head of external senses; it employs the senses and then perceives the sense impressions. For this reason the act of issuing any judgment should be regarded as act by soul or attributed to the faculty of thinking. Despite the fact that the subject of knowing soul from Aristotle and Ibn Sina`s point of view have always attracted the attention of various thinkers and also each for his own part has done his best it enrich this subject, nonetheless it should be said that there are still questions that can be raised about the relation and interaction between soul, external senses, common sense and faculty of thinking that can only be illustrated properly by an exact study of subjects such as sense perception, imagination and faculties of soul.

For a long time, Plato's thought has been affected by the interpretations of Aristotelianism or Neo-Platonism. However, some remarks which have been recently made regard the core of Plato's own thought in his dialogues. This becomes critical when we find something totally different from our traditional knowledge about Plato comparing it with, for example, what we see in Theaetetus where Plato, unlike Aristotle and Plotinus, maintains no role for perception in knowledge acquisition, and this is the issue which will be discussed in the present paper. Therefore, such an approach makes a main difference between the old (classic) and new (modern) interpretations of Plato's works and develops a central element in his epistemology, as will be indicated. In this article we emphasize on the negative aspect of Plato's epistemology, however, with doing so, the positive aspect will be demonstrated too.
